I USES THESE PENS WHEN I DO THE CROSSWORD PUZZLES, BETTER THAN PENCILS, THEY ALSO BRIGHTER THAN PENCILS WHERE I CAN SEE THE PRINTOUT.

Testing the pens, I find that there is a great amount of pros to them that far outweigh the con(s).
Pros:
1. Colors: The one thing I wanted is an erasable replacement to the average pencil, but still gives the option to use different colors, (great for science and math courses). The colors are contrast every well against each other and on paper.
2. Functionality: Works great and erases quite well. Begins to write quickly, as if writing with a pencil, and not a pen that I have to shake or scribble over and over to get started. The erasing is not absolutely perfect, but I'll explain that in the cons.
3. Price: For a dollar a pack, not only are they a great value, but an incredible buy. This is not cheap buy, I certainly feel a great quality for the price, (note: i say quality for price; this will not exactly last a lifetime, lol.)
Cons:
1. Residue: The erasing is great, but not perfect! There is a minuscule amount of ink left on the paper every now and again, (great for notes, not for homework, tests, etc). But the ink left is not a smudge or anything, just a small amount of ink. Easily overlooked when you erase and just keep writing, (maybe a problem for artists, but oh well.)
2. Impression: The pen is a pen, and one thing is does do is leave an impression mark on the paper. Even if you erase, you will still leave some mark on the paper, especially if you have a heavy hand like me. This is no problem, especially since once you erase and write over, you wont have a problem.
3. Eraser: You can still erase with a regular eraser, but if you lose the cap, (which the eraser is one), then you'll need a replacement cap, and carry an eraser. Not a bad con, but one none the less. Would have preferred it on the body of the pen.
Overall:
4/5 stars.
Value, quality, and colors far outweigh the biggest problem, the tiny residue left every now and again.
